IITs are highly respected institutions for students studying technology.
Over the last five years, the top IITs have increased their seats by more than 50%.
In 2016-17, there were 10,572 seats, but now there are 16,053 seats to choose from, giving aspiring students more options.
In the last year, 16,232 seats were available for JEE main admissions.
This year, there are 17,485 seats available in all 23 IITs, with an extra 1,692 seats for female candidates.
