Chennai Institute of Technology (CIT) is a prestigious educational institution located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and It was established in 2010 by the Parthasarathy Seeniammal Educational Trust. The college is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and it is accredited with AICTE, NAAC and NBA. The college currently offers B.E. and B.Tech courses under 7 and 3 specialization respectively. Candidates from Tamil Nadu state who have completed their 10+2 level from another state must produce a certificate of Nativity in order to seek admission under community quota. For B.E./B.Tech, candidates must pass 10+2 with minimum 50% marks in the science stream and admission the course is based on the TNEA exam scores. Candidates from Backward Classes who have secured a minimum of 45% marks, MBC & DNC candidates with 40% marks and SC/ ST/ SCA candidates with 40% marks are eligible. Admission to M.E. is done on the basis of GATE/ TANCET scores. For M.E., a candidate must have passed B.E. /B.Tech. degree in relevant discipline with minimum 50% marks.
