GMAT 2022 Description
Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), has announced that GMAT 2022 will be conducted in an online mode, starting from June 11. The exam will be conducted in online mode and candidates can appear in the test from the comfort of their homes. Moreover, the candidates can appear in the exam any time 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week. GMAC has also introduced the option of using a physical whiteboard during the paper.

GMAT 2022 Exam Dates
GMAT exam dates are there almost all days of the year. One can take the GMAT from your home 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. However, GMAT test centers give specific dates in a month and one has to book his/her appointment in advance so that you can get your desired time and date.
Here is how a candidate should choose your GMAT exam date:
- Decide in which round you want to apply to your target business school
- Start preparing for the GMAT at least 8 – 10 months before the deadline
- Take the GMAT at least 6 months before the deadline
- Keep a month or two in between for a possible GMAT retake
- Once you ace the GMAT, prepare your essays and arrange your LORs
Exam Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are advised to check the following GMAT 2022 Eligibility norms before applying for the examination:
- People of all nationalities can take GMAT exam 2022. All the rules and guidelines of GMAC are equally applicable to everyone.
- There is no minimum or maximum academic qualification limit for taking the GMAT. Mostly under-graduate students in their final year or working professionals take the GMAT exam. However, onecan take the GMAT even if you do not fall under either of these categories.
- One can take the GMAT at 13 years of age or above. However, If someone is between 13 and 18 years of age then he or she needs his/her parent or legal guardian to sign the permission letter to allow him/her to take the test. If the candidate is 18 years of age or above then register for the GMAT and take it without any permission from anyone.
- There are a few conditions that apply to the number of attempts. These are listed below:
- Candidates can take the GMAT once every 16 calendar days
- Candidates may NOT take more than 5 attempts in a 12-month period
- Candidates may NOT take more than 8 attempts in a lifetime
- If a candidate score a GMAT 800, which is the highest possible score, one must wait for at least 5 years for his/her next attempt
Exam Registration

Eligible candidates can register for GMAT 2022 in online mode, by filling the GMAT registration form which will be available around the year. It should be noted that the GMAT registration is a prerequisite for scheduling the test, hence candidates must create their complete profile before scheduling the test. The GMAT registration process involves the following steps.

Enter the personal details and contact information and click on the “Create Account” link to make your account.

Now create your profile by filling in all the relevant details such as personal information, educational qualification, the field of interest, communication details, work experience, etc.

Verify the details and submit all the information.
Schedule the GMAT exam 2022

Login again or open your account.

Click on the GMAT Graduate Management Admission Test link

Provide additional information and fill in the necessary details.

Select the date for the test and timing slot which is available and convenient for you.

Pay the GMAT test fee in online mode using the available payment gateway.

GMAT fee and cost in India
The candidate has to pay in USD to register for the GMAT in India. The registration fee is $250, which translates to approximately INR 18,300 based on the current exchange rate.

Exam Syllabus
GMAT 2022 Exam Syllabus
The test conducting body has also prescribed a syllabus of GMAT 2022 which will serve the candidates as a guide for streamlining their preparation. The syllabus of GMAT 2022 includes the following topics and question types.

There are four sections in the paper:
- Quantitative: 31 multiple choice questions on data sufficiency and problem-solving. The duration of this section is 62 minutes
- Verbal: It includes 36 multiple choice questions on reading comprehension, critical reasoning, and sentence correction. The duration to complete the Verbal section is 65 minutes
- Analytical Writing Assessment: It includes one essay question with a 30 minutes time limit. Argument analysis and communication in the form of critique are two types of questions under this section
- Integrated Reasoning (IR): It includes 12 multiple choice questions that can be two-part analysis, Multi-source reasoning, graphic interpretation, and Table analysis type of questions. The duration to complete this section is 30 mins
