Nationality:
- Candidates who are Indian nationals and non-resident Indians are eligible to submit their applications.
- For foreign candidates, the application process is facilitated through the Foreign National Application Form.
Age Criteria:
- Applicants for the examination should have attained the age of 17 by July 1, 2023.
- The applicant must have a birthdate falling on or after July 1, 2002.
- Candidates must share their date of birth exactly as it is written on their High School certificate. They’ll need to show this certificate during counselling to prove their age.
Educational Qualification:
Applicants taking the entrance test should have either successfully completed one of the qualifying exams listed below or be in the process of completing it:
- Examinations are conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, or State Boards at the 10+2 level.
- The HSC Examination from Cambridge University or the International Baccalaureate Diploma offered by the International Baccalaureate Organization in Geneva.
- An intermediate level or a two-year Pre-University Examination administered by an accredited University or Board.
- Candidates who are enrolled in the regular ‘NIOS’ board are eligible to apply for VITEEE 2024, while those from other open school systems are not eligible for the exam.
- Advanced Level (A) General Certificate of Education examination, administered in Sri Lanka by Cambridge University, London.
- Students who have taken the +2 examination under various educational boards in the same academic year will not meet the eligibility criteria for the VITEEE 2024.

- Candidates in their 10+2 level must have secured a minimum aggregate of 60% with subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology.
- Candidates belonging to ST/SC categories and northeastern/Jammu and Kashmir region must have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in PCB or PCM subjects.
- Applicants for B.Tech programs must have completed coursework in Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.
