The Selection Process for XAT 2025 through XLRI
Those who meet the XAT Cut-off 2025 requirements will advance with the XAT 2025 counselling procedure. The projected start date of the XAT selection process is February or March of 2025.
The XAT selection procedure will be held by the participating institutes shortly after the results are made public. Applicants will be contacted for the XAT 2025 counselling procedure if their names appear on the cut-off list published by different educational institutions. There will be three steps in the counselling process that XLRI offers:
Step 1: Applying for XAT 2025 Counselling
The following are the procedures to be taken to register for XAT 2025 counselling:
• Using the XAT application form, students can pay for the program they want to pursue on XLRI campuses. For other affiliated institutes that accept XAT scores, candidates must register on that official website.
• Candidates for XIMB, IMT, and other positions must apply separately.
• Those from other countries who want to apply to XLRI must use GATE.
• The candidate is required to pay the fees for the courses they have chosen after successfully registering.
• The internet gateway (VISA/MasterCard – Credit & Debit Cards, Net Banking) is required for candidates to pay the cost.
Step 2: Choosing a XAT Counselling Program
Regarding XLRI, students have the option to choose the program when submitting their XAT application. Each program requires an INR 300 payment from them.
• Candidates who meet the requirements to appear in the XAT 2024 exam will be chosen using a standardized selection process that XLRI Jamshedpur has devised. A number of factors, including the student’s XAT score, performance in the essay writing and general knowledge portions, GDPI rounds, prior academic achievement, and job experience, will be taken into consideration when evaluating their performance.
• The following section discusses the elements of selection and the relative weights assigned to each:
Components | Weights |
XAT Score | 65% |
Essay Writing | 5% |
General Knowledge | 5% |
Academic Performance and Work Experience | 5% |
Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI) | 20% |
Step 3: Complete Seat Distribution
The candidate’s overall performance will determine the final seat allocation for the XAT 2025 session.
• The candidate’s total performance in the XAT exam and the other selection rounds of the XAT Counselling process determines their final acceptance.
• Following the procedures, several criteria, including the GDPI rounds, the essay writing and general knowledge part, prior academic achievement, and job experience, will be used to assess the candidates’ performance.
• After all of these phases are over, candidates can proceed with paying the admission cost.
