Gautam Buddha University offers a wide range of UG and PG courses. Among other things, the university is known for its four-year B.Tech program. GBU courses at UG level also include BA (Hons), BCA, BCom (Hons), BSc, BSc (Hons), BArch and B.Des. Candidates can also pursue five-year integrated courses like BA LLB, BBA LLB, BTech+MTech and BBA+MBA. Apart from this, the university is also popular for PG courses like MBA and MSc which are offered in five and 11 specializations respectively. Other PG courses offered are MA, M.Tech, MCA, MURP, M.Arch, B.Ed and LLM. The duration of all GBU PG level courses is two years. It is approved by AICTE.
The university also offers diploma and certificate courses in 15 specializations. These diploma and certificate courses are offered on a full-time or part-time basis. The duration of each diploma course is one year, while certificates are of six months duration. At the doctoral level, Gautama Buddha University courses also include MPhil and PhD programmes. The minimum duration of the doctoral program is three years and it is offered in 13 different specializations.

GBU admission to all UG, PG and Ph.D programs is based on Gautam Buddha University Entrance Test (GBU-ET). However, only merit score is considered for admission to diploma/certificate courses. The university also considers the results of national level tests like JEE Main, GATE, CLAT etc. However, GBU admission through these national tests is applicable only if the seats remain vacant even after completing the admission through GBU-ET.
