Maharaja's College, Ernakulam Admission Form is open from March to July every year. All undergraduate courses are three years, postgraduate courses are two years. Admission is based on merit list based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations for UG and PG courses, except for BA Music where candidates need to pass an aptitude test for basic knowledge in Carnatic music (from saptaswar to alankaras). The seats available in undergraduate and postgraduate programs are classified as - merit seats, sports quota seats, cultural quota seats and PD seats. Maharaja's College provides Bachelor of Arts (BA) program with twelve different specializations while Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) offers seven different specializations.
Apart from this, the college also offers Bachelor of Commerce (B.com) in Computer Applications. The college accepts direct admissions to UG courses. Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of marks obtained in qualifying examinations i.e. percentage of marks obtained in higher secondary or any equivalent examination. The application process for UG courses usually starts in May every year.
