MREC is the parent college of the Malla Reddy Group of Institutions, which was founded by Shri Chamakura Malla Reddy in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The institute was founded in 2002 and is connected with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University in Hyderabad. It is accredited by the AICTE of New Delhi (JNTUH). NBA granted accreditation to the college in 2008. In the Hyderabad area, NAAC has designated the college as an A-rated institution. JNTU gave the college Autonomous status and Permanent Affiliation in 2011.
The College is located on Dulapally Road Maisammaguda Post through Kompally Rangareddy Dt Secunderabad, 19 kilometres from the railway station, and 23 kilometres from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport.

Admission 2023
Candidates who have completed 10+2 with PCM from a recognised board with 45 percent marks and have passed the TS EAMCET or JEE are eligible to apply for B.Tech, while those who have completed a B.Tech/BE degree from a recognised university and have a strong GATE score are eligible to apply for M.Tech.
B.Tech admission is dependent on a valid score/rank in the TS EAMCET or JEE Main 2021.
To be considered eligible for M.Tech, a candidate must have a B.Tech/BE degree and a valid TS PGECET score.
