Sardar Beant Singh State University( SBSSU), Gurdaspur was established by the Govt. of Punjab as an independent Institution through registered society. The foundation gravestone was laid on February,1994.

The council is conducting education in the Engineering disciplines of Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology & Mechanical Engineering at undergraduate position and Thermal Engineering, Production Engineering, Electronics &

Communication Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Chemical Engineering at Post graduate position.

Admission inB.Tech is done through JEE Mains and forM.Tech, eligible campaigners will have to appear in GATE/ NET.
