CUET UG 2023 Exam: The NTA Common University Entrance Test for undergraduate (CUET UG 2023) second edition will take place from May 21 to May 31, 2023. This year, there has been an increase in the number of universities participating in CUET 2023, which enables admission to UG programs. In the debut edition of CUET UG exam, 90 universities took part. However, 26 additional universities have decided to participate in CUET 2023, bringing the total number of participating universities to 116. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has mandated the use of CUET scores for admission, but participating universities have the liberty to decide their own admission processes.
Ten universities which were exempt from the CUET UG last year have been included in this year’s exam, except for Nagaland University, which exempted BSc (Hons) and BTech programs from CUET 2022. According to a notice dated July 27, 2022, “admission to UG programs in affiliated colleges” was exempted. This year, nine central universities, including Sikkim University, Rajiv Gandhi University, Manipur University, Assam University, Tezpur University, Tripura University, Mizoram University, North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), and Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (HNBGU) have been added. Applicants who want to enroll in UG programs at central universities or other participating institutions must submit their CUET UG application form 2023 by March 12, 2023, on cuet.samarth.ac.in.

Recently, several universities, including the University of Delhi (DU), Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Pondicherry University, and Jamia Millia Islamia, announced the UG admission process for 2023. AMU has decided to offer eight courses based on CUET UG 2023 results. JMI has stated that it will not offer admission to all of its programs through CUET, but it is planning to increase the number of programs offered based on CUET scores. Last year, JMI admitted students to ten programs based on CUET UG results.

The universities that accept CUET UG 2023 scores will have their own admission requirements for a specific programme. Applicants applying for CUET UG 2023 can visit the NTA CUET official website, cuet.samarth.ac.in, to know the number of courses offered by every university, eligibility criteria and admission selection process.
