The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a centralised national level entrance test applicable within twenty-two National Law Universities (NLU) in India. It is conducted all over India where not only do Public Universities seek its grading. In contrast, many Private Universities also look for the markings of the same to evaluate the candidates.
The candidates who wish to appear for the CLAT Examination must be a 10+2 pass out or should have the same level of recognizable degree from any board. Candidates who are about to appear for their 12th-grade examination in 2023 can also apply for the CLAT. even after that one must score at least 45% marks in their 12th standard to meet the eligibility criteria. According to the age limit criteria, Unreserved candidates can apply till the age of twenty (20) whereas candidates of other categories can apply till the age of twenty-two(22).
The subjects for the CLAT are logical reasoning, legal reasoning, CLAT UG LLM Syllabus, and English Language. Like other national-level examinations, CLAT has no such limitations regarding the age limit for the appearance in the CLAT Examination.
This examination has got a reputation in itself for being one of the toughest exams in India around this period of time. Tons of students apply for it every year and a few are selected by the NLU.
