BITS Pilani Coursera ONLINE BSC: Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani has combined with Coursera, to bring out an online Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science. Eligible and curious students can apply  for the first cohort on coursera.org. Classes will start in November 2022.
 

Eligibility Criteria:

The degree needs no entrance examination and is open to applicants from diverse profiles, including those without a science or significant maths background. Anyone with a class 12 or its equivalent qualifications can register.

Duration:

Students can take up to 6 years to complete this 3-year BSc in Computer Science degree. This will allow flexibility for learners to pursue the course while working or along with pursuing any other degree programme. The course also features an intermediate exit choice of a diploma, which students can get in about two years.

Career preparation, alumni network:

The course will offer periodic live sessions so that students can connect with BITS Pilani’s faculty and peers in real-time. Students will be able to access career services, including CV reviews and job-interview preparations, when needed. Upon graduation, students will get access to the institute’s alumni network.

The programme comprises a job-relevant curriculum, planned with inputs from various industry partners which will empower students to develop advanced skills in software development, data analysis, and core systems, besides leadership and soft skills.

The computer science degree will make ready graduates for various in-demand entry-level job roles such as registration and system software developer, computer programmer, and data analyst.
