NEW DELHI: The NEET UG 2024 has received over 25 lakh registrations. The Times of India reported that over 25 lakh people have registered for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET UG 2024), marking the first time.The NTA will conductthe NEET UG 2024 on May 5 for admission to medical colleges across the country.

According to the Times of India, almost 4.2 lakh more students applied for the admission exam this year than in 2023.
The Times of India stated that 13 lakh women candidates applied for NEET UG 2024.The NTA has extended the deadline for NEET UG 2024 registration until March 16, in response to student demands.Eligible applicants can register for the NEET UG 2024 exam on the official website, exams.nta.ac.in/NEET.The entrance exam will be held for admission to India’s 645 medical and 318 dental institutes.

According to media sources, the testing agency received a record number of registration forms.
The testing body has received almost 25 lakh registration forms, 4.2 lakh more than the previous year.
Many students enrolled and requested an extension of the registration deadline due to issues with linking their Aadhar card and mobile link.Some people were unable to receive OTP because their old number was linked to their Aadhaar card.The testing agency extended the deadline till March 16 in response to student representations.

The National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test [(NEET (UG)] -2024 exam date has not altered, according to the testing body.The exam will be held in paper and pen mode on May 5 from 2 PM to 5.20 PM across India and 14 cities abroad, according to the candidate notice.Registration for the NEET UG 2024 online forms began on February 9.The NTA has extended the registration deadline for NEET 2024. NEET UG 2024 Registration: How to Apply?
Go to the official website, exams.nta.ac.in.
Click on the’registration/login link’ located on the homepage.
It will send you to the login box.
First, register yourself by giving required details.
Upload documents, pay the application cost, and click on’submit’.
Print out the NEET UG 2024 registration form for future reference.

Application Fee: General – Rs. 1700/- in India, Rs. 9500 outside India.
General-EWS/OBC-NCL – Rs. 1600/- SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender – Rs. 1000/- Note: Candidates must pay processing charges and GST as applicable.

Documents Required
The most current photos should be in color or black and white, with at least 80% of the face (without mask) visible, including ears, on a white backdrop.
The scanned photos, signature, and left and right-hand finger and thumb impressions should be in JPG format (clearly visible).
The size of the scanned passport photograph should be between 10 and 200 kb (clearly legible).
The scanned postcard photograph (4″x6″) should be between 10 and 200 kb (clearly legible).
The scanned signature should have a clear legibility and be between 4 and 30 KB in size.
The size of scanned left and right-hand fingers and thumb impressions should be between 10 and 200 kb, according to the Template supplied (Appendix-XVIII).

Step 1: NEET Registration 2024
To complete the NEET application form 2024, aspirants must click on ‘Complete application form’. To register for NTA NEET 2024, visit the new page and click on the ‘NTA NEET registration 2024 link’. Follow the instructions carefully.During the NEET-UG registration process, aspirants must fill out the following information.
A password must also be created according to the parameters provided, and it will be used for any future logins. After registering for the NEET NTA 2024, you will receive a NEET application number.
This will be the user ID used to log in and fill out the NEET 2024 application form.

Step 2: Fill up the NEET application form 2024.
Once the registration process is done, candidates must click on ‘Complete Application Form’, as seen in the image below.Aspirants will need to enter their provisional registration number and password.Filling up the remaining details on the NEET 2024 application form is required.Other details to fill in the NEET online application form 2024 are as follows:

Step 3: Upload scanned papers and photographs.
After filling up the NEET form 2024, aspirants must upload scanned copies of their photograph and signature as prescribed.Candidates must click on ‘upload documents’. The documents to upload are listed below.

Passport photograph: It must be passport-size and have a white backdrop with the candidate’s name and the date of the photograph underneath. The file size in JPEG format might range from 10 to 200 kb.
Signature: This must be done with a black ink pen on white paper and scanned to a file in JPG format ranging in size from 4 to 30 KB.Left-hand thumb impression: Candidates must upload a digital image of their left-hand thumb impression on white paper with blue ink in JPG format, sized between 10 kb and 200 kb.Aside from the passport-size photo, candidates must upload postcard-sized photographs in JPG format ranging in size from 10 kb to 200 kb.

Step 4: Pay the NEET application cost.
After submitting the documents according to the guidelines, the option to pay the NEET application fee 2024 will come on screen. Click on ‘Pay Examination Fee’.The application cost for NEET UG 2024 can only be paid online. The application costs for NEET 2024 vary by category, including general, OBC/ST/SC, and EWS.Candidates can pay the NEET 2024 application cost online using State Bank of India, Syndicate Bank, ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, or Paytm.Candidates must confirm that the credit or debit card they use for payment is still valid.

Step 5: Print the NEET acknowledgement receipt.
After paying the application money, you will receive a NEET confirmation page pdf or acknowledgement receipt.
This indicates that the application for NEET 2024 has been successfully submitted.
A copy of the NEET acknowledgement or confirmation page will also be provided to the candidates’ registered email addresses and mobile numbers.Candidates are recommended to keep the acknowledgement receipt for future reference. They are also recommended to print the document for future reference.
